This is a very late blog but in March 2020, the Covid pandemic hit which closed Gallery 25 for about three months and this was my time to head back to my permanent home in Indo, California which is about 19 miles east of Palm Springs. I enjoyed my time as a guest artist and as a board member artist as well as the curator of Gallery 25. An amazing experience getting to know and help 53 artists. This becomes a new chapter for me in Indio, and with the weather reaching 123 degrees, I decided to put the acrylic paints to rest as they dry before you can get the paint on the canvas. That means I shall use oil paints for all new paintings. Much of 2020 was preparing for the move taking not only personal belongings but an art studio as well. I have been using 2021 for remodeling inside and outside as well as revamping the entire landscape. So now with the majority of that out of the way, 2022 is the year for oil paintings.

I will focus on smaller paintings because I still have not set up all of the art supplies and tools nor figured out the exact space that I will use for my studio. However, that does not prevent me front painting. I look forward to a new chapter in life and my art is hanging in a business called The Warehouse in Palm Desert. I have already had good success here in the desert and look forward to getting painting into people’s home.
