Much of my artwork is painted with acrylic paints because it helps me meet my overall goal of getting as many paintings into people’s homes quicker than oils due to the extremely fast dry time. Another benefit of acrylics for me is the use of so many different mediums such as pumice gel, tar gel, stucco, glass beads, modeling paste, crackle paste and impasto.

There was a time when I thought acrylic paint was vibrant and rich, but oils are just so fun and amazing to work with. The only issue is the dry time. But under my oil paintings you will find the same Reade as in acrylics.

I love painting with vibrant colors and was challenged to paint monochromatic, so I chose black and white for its simplicity and ability to go with everything. I have since found a love for black and white and it gives me a break from my traditional routine. All I need are my palette knives.
